400 St-Vrain Place
On 04/24/2025 at approximately 12:22AM, the CSPD dispatch center received a call for service regarding a home invasion in the 400 block of St-Vrain Place. Upon officers' arrival, they contacted the victim who stated her ex had broken into her residence and assaulted her before fleeing the area. Officers canvassed the area and with the assistance of personnel from the Downtown Area Response Team (DART) and the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), the suspect was contacted in the CSPD's Sand Creek division and taken into custody. Through the course of the investigation, it was learned the suspect had been stalking the victim prior to this incident occurring. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries during the incident and the male was taken into custody without issue.

4900 block of Copper Springs View
On 4/23/2025 at approximately 1622 hours Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 4900 block of Copper Springs View. When officers arrived, they discovered a juvenile male who sustained a gun shot wound to his right hip. The juvenile was uncooperative with officers and would not answer questions. The juvenile male was transported to a local hospital with a life-threatening injury. This investigation is still on-going. At this time the victim is in critical but stable condition.

1200 Yosemite Drive
On 04/22/25 at 11:35AM, officers from the Sand Creek Division executed a search warrant on a home in the 1200 block of Yosemite Drive with the help of El Paso County Sheriff SWAT. This was after the culmination of an investigation which led officers to this address in an attempt to recover firearms stolen from an "at-risk" victim.

Officers also had information that there were potentially two people with felony warrants on scene; one of which was wanted for sex assault and another for violent persons crimes.

Three of several stolen firearms were recovered. There was also evidence of a gun being discharged in the home at some earlier time.

200 South Union Boulevard
On 04/21/2025 at approximately 10:14 hours, the CSPD dispatch center received a call for service related to shots fired in the 200 block of South Union Boulevard. CSPD Officers responded and contacted two (2) individuals who were inside of a vehicle that was shot into. The individuals did not sustain life threatening injuries. The scene was processed and dozens of spent cartridge cases were recovered in the immediate vicinity. The investigation is ongoing and a suspect has not been positively identified at this time. N Powers Blvd and N Carefree Cir
On Monday, April 21, 2025, at 12:47 PM, members of the Colorado Springs Police Department were responding to an emergency call for service with lights and sirens activated on their CSPD marked police cruisers and were southbound on N Powers Blvd. As the cruisers approached the intersection of N Carefree Cir they had a red light. The officer believed traffic was clear and started through the intersection when an eastbound Subaru entered the intersection. Both vehicles collided in the intersection. The driver and two children from the Subaru were transported for precautionary reasons. The officer was ok. Due to the nature of the crash the Major Crash Team was contacted and responded to assume the investigation.

2900 block E. Las Vegas St.
On 04/18/2025, the Colorado Springs Police Department Robbery Unit obtained arrest warrants for 27-year-old, Tyler Pittman and 26-year-old Charles Robbins. Pittman and Robbins were arrested for two armed robberies, the first was an armed robbery of a convenience store in the 3900 block of Palmer Park Blvd on February 11th, 2025. The second was for an armed robbery of a convenience store in the 4500 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway on March 10th, 2025. Pittman and Robbins were already in custody at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center for unrelated warrants.

900 Block of N. Circle Drive
On 4/18/2025 at approximately 2000 hours Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of N. Circle Drive regarding a business robbery. Three males with handguns entered the store, demanded money and merchandise and quickly left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. The males were wearing all black including masks and gloves. No one was injured during the robbery.

Astrozon Bl/S Academy Bl
On 04-18-25 at 6:03PM the Colorado Springs Police Department received a report of a traffic crash at the intersection of Astrozon Bl and S Academy Bl. As a result of the crash, all traffic signals at the intersection are not functioning at this time. As a result, north and southbound S Academy Bl is open to traffic, while east and westbound Astrozon is shut down. Westbound Astrozon Bl is being diverted onto Jet Wing Dr. Eastbound Astrozon is shut down just west of Academy Bl with traffic being diverted onto southbound Academy Bl. Citizens are advised to avoid the area at this time.

****As of 15:00 PM, 4/19/25 CSPD is no longer on Accident Alert**** The Colorado Springs Police Department is on Crash Alert status as of 4/18/25 at 4:14PM due to road conditions. Drivers are reminded if they are involved in a traffic accident with no fatality or injury requiring medical attention, no driver involved is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, all drivers are present with license, registration and insurance information, and no damage to public property such as a street sign or utility pole has occurred, drivers should exchange their information and follow the procedure for completing a counter (cold) report. When damage to any vehicle requires a wrecker, a counter report can still be made providing the previous criteria is met. Drivers can either pick up a traffic accident report form at any of the police department substations or they can go online at coloradosprings.gov/police, click on “Online Reporting” and select “Cold Reporting: Report a Minor Traffic Accident” for instructions. Drivers should also be reminded to take the appropriate steps to avoid being involved in a traffic accident during adverse weather and road conditions. Drivers should check road and travel conditions before heading out and leave more time to get to their destination. Drivers need to travel at a safe speed for the conditions and leave an increased and safe following distance from the vehicle in front of them. Drivers should use streets and roadways less hazardous in winter driving conditions. Drivers also need to remove snow and ice obstructing their vision and have adequate snow tires on their vehicles.

5100 block Derby Dr.
On April 17, 2025, at approximately 2326 hours, Sand Creek Division officers responded to a reported drive-by shooting occurring in the 5100 block of Derby Dr. One victim was identified with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. No suspects have been identified at this time.
