At approximately 10:20am on Thursday 9th November 2023, officers were dispatched to a stabbing call for service. Whilst officers were en-route, they were made aware that a female's boyfriend had been stabbed by that female's brother and that her brother was currently outside of the location. Upon arrival, an officer contacted the brother and whilst he was being taken into custody, the female ran out with a shovel and raised it towards the officer and her brother. The female, subsequently, followed commands and was also taken into custody. The female's boyfriend, who sustained a stab wound, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this stage, the investigation is still on going.

On November 9th, 2023, at approximately 12:15 AM, officers from the Stetson Hills Division responded to an in-progress burglary at a business in the 3900 block of Palmer Park Blvd. Upon arrival in the area, one officer parked his vehicle near the business where he observed an occupied motor vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver drove off before the officer could contact him. While driving away, the vehicle struck the officer’s unoccupied marked police vehicle causing minor damage. The suspect then fled the area in his vehicle. No one was injured. The suspect has not been identified and it is unknown at this time if he is responsible for the burglary. The investigation is ongoing.
On 11/8/23 at 921 a.m., it was reported that the suspect in this investigation had returned to campus and entered the school. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was put on a "Hold" Status while officers attempted to confirm if the suspect was inside. It was later determined that the suspect was not inside the school. At the same time, additional officers located the suspect at a nearby residence and he was taken into custody without incident.
On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:18 AM The Colorado Springs Police Department received a call regarding a disturbance at a business near the intersection of Barnes Road and Austin Bluffs Parkway. Several students were off campus for lunch hour when they encountered an unidentified male engaged in an altercation with another person. The suspect produced and brandished a handgun and pointed it at several students who were near the altercation. The suspect was still reportedly in the intersection area when students made reports to security and the SRO at Doherty High School. As a precaution the campus was placed on "Secure" and additional security personnel from D11 and CSPD responded to ensure the safety of the returning student population from lunch. CSPD Patrol officers conducted an extensive search of the area with the assistance of K-9, UAV, and TAC team personnel. Despite search efforts, no suspect was located. CSPD SROs are continuing to conduct follow-up related to the menacing investigation. Doherty Campus released the secure status late in the afternoon. At this time there is no identified suspect.

Officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of N. Nevada Ave. to a report of a robbery with a weapon. At approximately 0017 hours two masked males entered the business brandished handguns and demanded money. One suspect was described as 6’ unknown race male wearing a full-face mask. The second suspect was described as a 6’5” male, unknown race also wearing a full-face mask. Suspects left in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.
CFS # 23447942, At approximately 7:48 PM hours Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Aeroplaza Dr. regarding a robbery. A suspect entered the business brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. CFS # 23448037, At approximately 9:40 PM Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of N. Academy Blvd where two suspects entered the business pointed a handgun demanding money and left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash. CFS # 23448042, At approximately 9:55 hours a suspect entered a business in the 5800 block of Corporate Dr. brandished a handgun, demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect entering all three businesses was dressed the same and appeared to be the same person based on video footage and witness statements from the businesses.
On November 6, 2023, at approximately 2241 hours, Colorado Springs police officers were dispatched to a reported shooting in the area of the 700 block of East Platte Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they located one person who had sustained two gunshot wounds. The injured person was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated. I25 Tejon Street overpass
Location
A CSPD Officer was traveling northbound on I-25 approaching the S. Tejon Street overpass when a deer jumped over the median and struck the vehicle. At the time, the officer was responding to a priority one call for service and was traveling in the northbound inside lane. The deer struck the driver side hood, quarter panel, windshield, and door causing significant damage. The officer was able to move the vehicle onto the shoulder and remove the dead deer from the road. No other vehicles were involved and the officer was not injured.
