On February 15, 2024, at approximately 0213 hours, officers from the Falcon Division were dispatched to a burglary in progress at a business. The reporting party had been notified of an alarm and upon arrival found a male still inside rummaging through property. The suspect had used a rock to break the glass door and was staging goods outside the door. Officers arrived on scene and were able to take the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was found to be a fugitive from Utah, with an active parole warrant.

CSPD units were dispatched to the Pinnacle address reference a family disturbance. While in route to the address units were advised by the reporting party an adult male family member was attempting to kill them. When units arrived, they immediately entered the residence and saw the suspect dragging an elderly male down the hallway. The suspect saw the officers and released the elderly male. The suspect then retreated into a bedroom and barricaded himself. Additional units arrived and set up containment. The male was eventually taken into custody when he attempted to flee out a window and a non-lethal weapon was deployed. The suspect was uninjured and taken to CJC. The suspect faces charges of Attempted First Degree Murder and Second-Degree Kidnapping.

On 02/12/2024, at 7:57 AM, members of the Colorado Springs Police Department, Falcon Division, were dispatched to the intersection of Dublin Blvd and Vincent Dr regarding a single vehicle roll over crash. Upon arrival witnesses had removed the single occupant of the vehicle and were performing CPR. Members of the Colorado Springs Fire Department and AMR arrived on scene and continued life saving efforts. The driver of the vehicle succumbed to their injuries while on scene. Due to the nature of the crash the Major Crash Team was contacted and responded to the scene to assume the investigation. It is early in the investigation and the cause of the crash is still being determined at this time.
