Message of the Day

Please note that our office will be closed on Friday, February 13 and Monday, February 16 in observance of Presidents’ Day and a scheduled furlough day. Staff will return and respond to messages when the office reopens on Tuesday, February 17.

Due to changes in City Ordinance, the CSPD Impound Facility only holds vehicles held as EVIDENCE or involved in an INVESTIGATION.

ABANDONED VEHS:  *If you believe your vehicle was towed as Abandoned, it was most likely towed by the City Neighborhood Services Unit.  If it does not show up on the Impound site, it was likely towed by the contracted tow company, Knob Hill Towing.  Please contact them regarding your vehicle.

CRASH/HAZARD VEHS:  *If you believe your vehicle was towed due to a Crash, Traffic Hazard, or other non-investigative reason and you were not on the scene, the CSPD uses rotation tow companies to tow these vehicles.  Search for your vehicle on this site to see which tow company towed it.

SEARCH:  Search for your vehicle using the “Search for My Vehicle” button below to find your vehicle’s location BEFORE attempting to claim as it might not be stored at the CSPD Impound Facility.

The impound lot is closed every third Thursday of each month for inventory.

 

The Impound Lot will be closed on all City Holidays, in addition in 2026 the Impound lot will be closed the following days:

Impound is closed the 3rd Thursday of each month. Impound is also closed weekends and city holidays/closures. Occasionally, the Impound facility must close for business due to inventories/meetings. Please check this Impound site for closure notices posted in advance before making the trip. No storage fees are assessed during closures.

The Impound evidence technicians are most often on the lot escorting tow drivers or at the window assisting customers.

Planning Your Visit

  • Check this site in advance for planned closures due to Maintenance, Inventory, Training, Meetings, etc.
  • The lobby closes at 4 PM.
    • The Impound does not allow personal property removals after 3:45 PM.
    • Tow Truck operator must be IN the lobby by 3:45 PM to tow out that day.
  • Lobby wait times vary. The busiest days are Mondays and Fridays. The busiest times (on all days) are 9-10 AM and 3-4 PM.
