On March 18, 2024, Colorado Springs Police received a phone call for a reported shooting in the 5500 block of Constitution Ave. Upon arrival, officers located one individual who sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital. Suspect information has been developed and the investigation is ongoing. It appears that the involved parties were known to each other, and this was a targeted act. CSPD Assault unit responded and assumed the investigation.
UPDATE - CSPD will remain on accident alert until Monday, 3/18/24 0800 hours due to road conditions and call for service load per command staff.

On 3/9/24 at approximately 0100hrs, officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance in the 300 block of N. Tejon St. involving a female screaming. Upon arrival, officers met with an adult female victim who reported a stranger had entered her apartment with a gun and had just fled onto the roof. Officers contained much of the entire block and searched the area by drone and in person. Officers ultimately located the suspect in a fenced area in the back alley. On Friday, March 8,2023, at 6:45 PM, members of the Colorado Springs Police Department, Stetson Hills Division, were dispatched to the intersection of Dublin Blvd and Tutt Blvd regarding a two-vehicle traffic crash with possible injuries. Upon arrival officers discovered multiple passengers from one of the vehicles were suffering from injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening. The initial investigation revealed there was a vehicle west bound on Dublin Blvd making a left turn to go south on Tutt Blvd. As the vehicle was making the left turn it was struck by an eastbound vehicle. Due to the nature of the crash and the injuries the Major Crash Team was contacted and responded to the scene. Neither speed nor alcohol are being considered as factors in this investigation.

1000 Block Honey Locust Court

On March 7, 2024, Metro Narcotics Unit detectives with the collaborative effort with FBI Denver SWAT and FBI Colorado Springs Field Office, executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Honey Locust Drive rooted from an on-going local drug trafficking organization (DTO). Several members of the DTO have already been federally indicted late 2023. Through undercover operations, probable cause was developed for the Honey Locust residence and an additional storage unit. Detectives recovered two shotguns, three rifles, six handguns (2 stolen), 1170.05 grams (2.5 lbs) of fentanyl, 87.85 grams of methamphetamine, two stolen ATVs, 24 grams of cocaine, and $4231 US currency. This investigation resulted in an additional suspect placed in custody on a federal arrest warrant and a positive community impact for the City of Colorado Springs.
